With the end of Warlords of Draenor being upon us and Guild's pushing through Hellfire Citadel Mythic, the next question that comes to mind is, what next?
So you're getting bored with Warlords of Draenor...
It seems like as things are coming to an end with the Warlords of Draenor (WoD) Expansion people are getting bored with the same tedious running abouts they've done since Tanaan Jungle and HFC has been released. You're probably getting sick of killing demons, killing random animals for teeth and God knows you're probably over killing the Sabermaw Champions each day.
So now you're looking to do something productive that will make it feel like you're doing something and not wasting almost $150 while you wait for Legion to come out.
Let's see if I can help you out at all.
Your Options:
Now, since you chose to keep playing for the next 9 months I'm pretty sure what I have listed below are your only real options.
- Rep
- Quests
- Collections
- Achievements
- Leveling
Reputation:
- Titles
-- I love getting titles, it shows to some degree that you took the time to finish a long quest-line or, in this case, a long rep grind. And there are some pretty cool titles out there based on your personal preference.
- Mounts
-- A good majority of reputations have a specific mount they sell once you get exalted, anything from Hippogryphs to Goats.
- Vanity Items
-- Normally you can get tabards, mini-pets, and toys. Some that are even useful no matter what level depending on the zone/faction.
Quests:
- Gold
-- At the start of every expansion, I make a good chunk of gold based on the fact that I don't have a lot of time to spend it. And quests starting in WotLK actually give a half-ways decent profit for as fast as you can go through them.
I'm not going to sugar coat it, I only put this on in here because it IS a viable option, though I'm sure it would make you even more bored than you currently are- Unless you're hot on the Lore of the Warcraft Universe.
Collections:
- Useful World Items
-- In MoP they really heavily put treasures around the world and made them anything from items to toys, to useful gear even Gold. There are add-ons you can download that show where the treasures in MoP and WoD are located. So I would highly recommend that, since I'm sure even the most hard-headed person will find an item they find useful.
- Hunt for Rares
-- Rares are located through every facet of the World of Warcraft game. In every expansion there are rare enemies that drop cool items to mounts, so go check out the ones you can get in WoD and MoP, even WotLK.
Achievements:
- Titles
--Almost all the titles you don't get from Reputation, you get from Achivements. Whether it's dungeon/raid related or whatever else, there's normally some achievement that goes with it that will give you a title about it.
- Mounts
-- For the Glory of the "x" Hero/Raider achievements you'll get a mount and in most cases a title that goes along with it. Or just browse the Mount Tab and find out which ones are within your grasp.
- Achievement Points
-- I don't know about anyone else, but I'm an achievement whore. When I get bored, I go achievement hunting, whether it's going through and making sure I completed every classic dungeon to making sure I've explored the map to it's fullest. It's satisfying see that little number go higher and higher!
Leveling:
- Alts
-- You could easily take this time to level up your alt characters and make sure they're ready for the Legion expansion.
Now that you have some ideas:
Now that you know SOME of the options, what you should do now is make a game plan. Figure out what your goals are going to be for the next 9 months and set off on doing them!
