[Gold] Making Gold off Unobtainable Items: The Ultimate Collection List

With account-wide transmog coming in Legion, people will want to get their hands on some nice, rare items to complete their collections. Sadly for them - and fortunately for you - there are a number of items in the game which have been removed throughout the history of World of Warcraft, and people wanting to complete their collection will have to find them somewhere.

If you've got alts, a guild bank or three where you've hoarded your loot over the years or you just have a collection of BoE unobtainable items waiting for the right moment to sell, here's a list of items to look out for!

There are also a lot of items that are no longer obtainable but do share their appearance with other items. Some players would prefer to have the "original" or "rare" copy of the item for transmog, so here's a list of those:

The original Dungeon set BoE items still fetch a pretty penny due to those players who would rather transmog to the original item, not the Heirloom or Darkmoon Faire replicas.

There are lots of old world crafting patterns that profession perfectionists are on the hunt for. Since they're no longer obtainable, they don't really have much of a choice other than pay large sums of gold if they want to complete their collection.

Speaking of crafting patterns, there are a couple of materials out there that can be used to craft items with unique appearances, but those materials are no longer obtainable. You should check if you have any of these, because they can be worth the world to the right buyers.
