Good morning all,
I've created this thread as a submission to join the OC family and Community so I can contribute more than I currently do. I understand that
this thread isn't an article WoW related but it relates me and many others to WoW and Gaming community as a whole.
Before I start about that, Let me introduce myself.
Like others I prefer not to reveal my name but I've always liked to refer to myself as Rage or InfamousRage.
I've been into gaming since I was little - age 7. I started with PlayStation one / game cube / Xbox and game boy colours, Playing games like Pokémon, Mario and one of my favourite - Metal gear solid. But back then it wasn't seen as much of competition when I played friends as
the winning streaks became familiar.
Console games didn’t amuse me anymore and I always searched for something to find competition in, and my first PC game which I started playing was runescape. A friend introduced me whilst I was in secondary school (age around 12-3) and I enjoyed that for a moment in time
but the restriction in game play wasn’t for me.
I started playing multiplayer games online such Call of duty, mainly war games as it meant I had that chance of getting the better of people. At times I was good and at times my internet would play up and lag didn’t make things very easy as my connection wasn’t the greatest.
Don’t take that as an excuse of getting killed – I can assure you, I’m not the best and there is always room for learning.
I was 15years old when I finally heard of World of Warcraft and played in TBC with three friends in IRL. The gameplay and graphics took over
and it was new to me as I had never played a game so engaging to the audience. I’ve never been much of a fan for PVE but I’ve always like
the lore around the game and have read articles to make sure I know stories behind characters – Illidan , Arthas, Sylvanas (my favourite)
amongst others.
World of Warcraft
I’ve played mainly on two different servers, Frostwhispers and Sylvanas. I first started play WoW as Horde and my first character was a hunter – times where we had to use mana, which the style is completely different now.
I changed to Alliance mainly for looks and racial preferences and took PvP more serious. I’ve played and play all classes but my current main/s is Druid / Lock and Paladin. I can’t seem stick to a class and always want to better my gameplay, across all class and specs.
Ownedcore
I’ve been a member of OC for 2years and started as a RBG seller to which I help EU and US players gain the rating which they wanted and helped over
200 contacts. I’ve supported behind scenes with small projects to other companies, advertising and have also been a buyer to other sellers.
During my time of selling RBG’s boosts, my skype was hacked by someone and I lost all the contacts which I had and my business fell slightly.
I still had contact with my distribution and rebuilt everything but it didn’t feel the same. Once the season finished, I let that drift away as it didn’t feel the same as a business for me and I wanted to try something different.
At this point I was mainly focusing with IRL but still kept close to the community, not writing but reading in the background.
Gaming and IT
Gaming has always fit into my life and has come very easy to me, I’ve put this skill into IT and have managed to build websites, applications for companies and have built my own PC with a budget of £1,300 – which I have now been using for last 3-4years.
I want to close this off with a nice ending.
Gaming makes people fit in, it doesn’t matter what age, it doesn’t matter where they come from or what religion they believe. It makes people come together and unite for an objective to complete and compete, to finish together.
I think there is good people and there are people who aren’t as you’d like them to be but you will find this everywhere but the community we have
will always expand.
